Con el objetivo de facilitar el intercambio entre investigadores, decisores, actores económicos y sociales, del sector público y privado en Cuba y el mundo, inició hoy la II Feria Internacional BioCuba 2023, en esta ciudad.
Entre los temas que discutirán en los foros de socialización en la más oriental de las provincias cubanas, están el desafío del desarrollo económico y social, equidad de género, la estrategia de cuidado del medio ambiente y de enfrentamiento al cambio climático, en el contexto internacional de la COP 28.
Igualmente, dialogan sobre reforestación, economía circular, así como las excelencias en la cadena de valor del café, del cacao, y de los productos orgánicos, coincidiendo con las acciones de divulgación y consolidación del proyecto BioCubaCafé que incluye a este territorio y las vecinas provincias Granma y Santiago de Cuba.
En la inauguración del evento participaron el embajador de Italia en Cuba, Roberto Vellano, directivos de la Fundación Lavazza, quienes estimulan la inversión extranjera en el país, de la Asociación italiana para el Intercambio Cultural y Económico con Cuba, investigadores del Centro de Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología (CIGB) y del Grupo Agro Forestal de Cuba.
La Plaza de la Revolución Mariana Grajales de la ciudad de Guantánamo, es el espacio de confluencia de BioCuba 2023 y es parte de la 7ma edición del Festival Chocolate con Café.
